Chicken and Noodle Dumpling

INGREDIENTS
28 ounces can or 2 cups shredded
Gerber’s Amish Farm Chicken Fully COOKED CANNED CHICKEN or 2 cups of boneless skinless breast cooked
1 can (28 ounces)
broth
1 cup
water
1 medium yellow onion chopped

2 stalks of celery chopped
celery
2-3 carrots choped
carrots

egg
2 tablespoons
milk
1 cup
flour
1/2 teaspoon
salt
1/2 teaspoon
pepper
Directions

In a large pot add chicken broth, chicken, carrots, celery and onion. Cook for 10 minutes uncovered at a low simmer.

For Noodles: Combine beaten egg, milk and salt. Add enough flour to make stiff dough, about 1 cup.

Roll very thin on floured surface.

Cut into squares and drop into boiling broth piece by piece (celery, carrots, onion should be simmering). A rapid boil is key when adding noodle to prevent sticking to one another.

Cook until noodles are done, approximately 15 minutes.

Serve alone or on top of mash potatoes for a hearty homestyle meal.
